FrontPage both suffers from and has been made famous by its active elements, or "Robots".

Active elements are pre-made, fully functional objects you can drop onto your pages. We´re not talking simple graphics, or even embedded video clips here... We´re talking complete mini-programs which run within the space of your web page.

The problem with these elements is that they require the web server on which you publish your site to support them - and many web servers or ISPs don´t.

Until you've spoken to the ISP who will be hosting your web site, don´t ever depend on being able to use the following:

1. Customised hover buttons
2. Banner ads (0r TImed Rollovers)
3. Forms and Form fields
4. Hit Counter
5. Search forms
