In the graphic on the
right, we´ve constructed a site which is two layers deep (excluding the Home Page, of course).
Pages 1, 2 and 3 are on level one, while pages 3 and 5 are on level two.
If you placed navigation buttons on page 1, and had them linking to pages on the "Same level", they would link to pages 2 and 3.
If you also placed some "Child-level" navigation buttons on page 1, they would link to pages 4 and 5.
Most sites on the web have standardised on placing "Same level" buttons down the
left margin. The jury is still out on where "child level" buttons should be placed as standard - if indeed any such standard placement is necessary. We´ve elected to place them actross the top of the page.
It is important to note, in the context of learning FrontPage98, that FP98 (by default) places these navigation buttons the other way round.
