A hotspot is an area on an image that is a hyperlink

You can `sensitise´ any area on an image you like, by selecting the image, and then selecting from the pictures toolbar the shape of the hotspot you want.

hotspot1You can choose to have a rectangular, circular or even polygon-shaped hotspot!

When you have dragged the hotspot until it is the size you want, release the mouse button and a Create Hyperlink dialogue box will appear. It´s now really simple to specify the target of the hyperlink.

If you want at text hotspot, the first thing to remember is that you can only put text onto a gif image (so if you've used a jpeg image, FP will ask you if you want to convert it. If ever that happens, say Yes).

To add the text, just select the image, and then click the Text button in the pictures toolbar.  A text box will appear, and when you´ve typed in the text you want (a single line only), double-click the edge of the text box and a Create Hyperlink dialogue box opens. From there on it´s plain sailing!
