Tables work almost as smoothly in FrontPage as they do in other Office products, with the exception that, again, tables are `in line´ and
cannot be placed wherever you choose on a page.
FrontPage2000 does, however, place your table either left aligned, centred or right aligned.
Also, the placement of your table will depend where on the screen you start drawing it. Many authors create tables that extend over their whole page, in order to position all the elements in relation to each other (see Tables (2), which follows this page).
You can either use the Table menu to have FP create a table for you, or you can "Draw" a table (as you do in Word). Both options are
accessed by going to the Tables drop-down menu.
Using the Table button, on the
other hand, requires you to select the dimensions of your table from a pull-down grid.
You can, of course, resize or edit your cells later if you need to.
To format the colour and other properties of your table, you can either highlight the table
and right-click, or you can use the Tables toolbar which you get via the View/Too lbars menu (just as you would in any of the other MicroSoft applications). The toolbar should
hold no mysteries for you, since you have seen it all before in Word and Publisher.
