       Conclusion

IFortunately, the menu structure in FrontPage is very similar to that found in other Office products, so not all of them need to be discussed again here.

f you go to the Edit menu, though, you will find an  "Add Task" option. Tasks are simply "to-do" lists - so that you can remind yourself (or other people in your group) of jobs which need doing later, and who is supposed to be doing them.  If you are familiar with MS Outlook, or Outlook Express, you will know all about to-do lists already.

If you select this, you will be taken to the FrontPage Explorer screen, and the Tasks dialogue box will open.  It looks like this...

tasks1

Just fill it in... no mystery here.

You can also add tasks from the  "Explorer" view in FrontPage: itīs the icon on the left at the bottom of the screen!

The Insert menu

insertMenuIn many respects, this is the most significant menu in FP98, since it is via this menu that you get to play with all sorts of flash effects.  The Active Elements and Front Page Components will be dealt with in their own pages, which leaves only:

The Timestamp:  an automatically inserted and updated "field".  It is always a good idea to insert a timestamp on your pages, eg:  "This page last updated on <timestamp>"

Tables of Contents : this creates a hierarchically arranged hyperlinked index of all pages in your website.  Try it for youself - itīs all automatic.
