In Windows 3.x it used to be called "File Manager" and we all knew where we were. Aah, for the good ole days!
Now in Win9x it is called "Explorer. So now we have to distinguish between the FILE Explorer (which shows you the files on your computer), and INTERNET Explorer (which allows you to browse the Internet).
In this course we´re talking about managing the directories and files on your local hard drive (or LAN).
First up - where do you find File Explorer? Under the
START button/Programs/Explorer
(down at the bottom left hand corner).
Secondly, what can File Explorer do? Explorer´s reason for living is to: create, modify, move, delete and otherwise organise the files
you have stored on your computer.
