Moving files from one directory to another is extremely simple.

In the example on the left, we have click-dragged the file "fm-filenames.gif" from its original position across into the left pane, to the folder "W-fm"

Notice the following:
A faint outline of the file being moved appears under the mouse pointer

The folder into which you are about to drop the file becomes hilighted.

You can force a COPY by holding down the CTRL key during the process

You can force a MOVE by holding down the SHIFT key.
