The View menu allows you to change the look-and-feel of the toolbars, view your files as though they were on a web page (Win98 only), and so on.

Experiment a little, till you find the look you prefer.  The set all folders to look like this, if you wish.

The "Refresh" item forces your screen to update itself, and to display any changes you might have made.
